Aissatou is a biological engineer specializing in biomaterials and cancer bioengineering. After completing a first Master’s degree in Biomaterials at the University of Nantes, she pursued a second Master’s in Cancer Bioengineering at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1.
During her studies, she worked on the printability of biomaterials using 3D bioprinting techniques with both natural and synthetic materials. She also studied the viability of stem cells within matrices and their differentiation into organoids. Additionally, she investigated the impact of pressure on cancer cell fate by comparing spheroid and 2D culture models.
Currently, she is working at the Université de Lille, Inserm, in the PRISM Laboratory – U1192 Inserm (Protéomique Réponse Inflammatoire Spectrométrie de Masse) in Lille, France, Her work consists on the development of a breast cancer model to study the role of macrophages in cancer therapy. She is also involved in the creation of a non-pathological breast model to better reconstruct the complexity of breast tissue.
